BOAT MECHANICAL SYSTEMS HANDBOOK
by Dave Gerr
This books title is slightly misleading as the book is way more than just a 'handbook'. Written by Dave Gerr, a qualified Naval Architect and director of the Westlawn Institute, this covers in very clear detail all the mechanical systems on a boat (both sail and power). It does have many formulas and a basic knowledge of mathematics will be needed to fully understand and apply everything included herein but it is by far the best book for any boatbuilder to design the best mechanical systems to suit his or her boat. Dave Gerr really does puts a lot into his books and buyers will not be disappointed with the information on any of the subjects covered.
