| THREE
GRANNIES GO TO SEA by Pam Bailey, Penny Miles and Elaine Kleiss This book is not a 'how to' book but more a 'how it is book'. Three
Grannies from three different backgrounds and circumstances tell of
their experiences, their learning, their first big cruise and what the
cruising life is all about. There is no advice or lessons here, just how
it is when, having finished their child rearing days they have given
life another go. $50.00 plus postage Availability: Usually shipped next day.

REVIEWS
1. For all those "arm-chair cruisers and gunna do's" this book puts us all to shame and shows that all you need to do is get off your arse and do it! 2. This book gave clear insight into the challenges facing would-be cruisers. I particularly liked the "warts and all" descriptions as the 3 grannies took us through their triumphs and minor mishaps (plenty of sand banks out there aren't there)! 3. Any fella (or otherwise) who is thinking of dragging his/her partner off on a dream cruise should read this book. It gives great insight into the sacrifices these woman have been willing to make to follow their men and take up cruising (not that is was all the mens idea). On the other hand it also shows the up-side of cruising, how it sneeks up on you and alters you perceptions of what life is really about, what is really important, the sort of things that make cruising hard to give up once gets in your blood. I look forward to bumping into the 3 grannies, and their other halves, when we finally get our yacht and head off.
