Bottom of drum with welded arms is used to melt the lead in. Note the tap extending out above the piece of angle used to make the mold.

 The shifting spanner has been used to open the tap and fill the mold with melted lead.

The mold was made the length of the gap between the keel webs so that the lead bars could pack down and lie lengthways between them
