3.
Completely Assembled Mast. This mast is delivered completely finished,
ready to be stood and rigged. Nothing more needs to be done to it. Once again by ordering
ahead transportation charges can be shared. There is generally a run to Melbourne every
few months and a trip to Perth every four to five months or so. A mast can always be
freighted on
demand but transport costs are very expensive, especially on longer sections. A case
here of think ahead and save dollars. |
Standing Rigging can
be supplied with all stays and shrouds swaged at the head with the bottoms left 1ft longer
than necessary so as to be marked and swaged when the mast is stood |

All wire of the correct diameter and length to suit your rig. Forestay, backstay, inner forestay if cutter rigged, all shrouds, running backstays if required, bob stay and whisker stay if your yacht includes a bowsprit all swaged at the head to suit your mast tangs and left free at the base to be swagged on site when the mast is stepped. To have the both ends swaged is inviting trouble. Two boats built to the same plan can often vary by quite a few inches and once hydraulically swaged there is no no room for errors. Every port has a swagger although if desired you can opt for Sta-lok fittings where all that is required is a spanner and a bit of muscle power. All rigging is 1 X 19 stainless steel. |
|
Whatever length and diameter 1 x19 316 Stainless steel wire plus all necessary Sta-lok terminals and you can do it all yourself. These fittings cannot be used with galvanised wire or any wire with a fibre core. They are just as strong as swaged type terminals.
