Stretched Adventurer 25 hull in wood epoxy

This hull is 30ft on deck and 34 ft overall. Her beam is 8ft. When finished as planned she will draw 3ft 9ins. The estimated weight of the hull as it is at present is between 1 and 1.2 tons. The hull has been made extremely strongly being of triple diagonal construction with 420gm cloth inside and out with an additional 200gm cloth between each layer of 4mm ply. Hydrostatics have been worked out for this vessel as well as a choice of Bermuda or Gaff  sail plan. This hull has a perfect finish as the photo's show. The deck beams are in place and there is enough ply, resin and cloth to finish the deck. Enough kwila planks, just needing sawing to size, are also included for making a finished laid deck. The keel is not made although, as one can see in the photos, the top plate has been manufactured with all holes made and bronze bolts supplied. Bulkheads have been completed and some interior framework has been installed.
This hull is situated at Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia and could be easily moved on the cradle provide.
This is a beautiful looking and constructed hull and is only being sold as the builder is in very poor health and is unable to continue and complete the project. R25 Adventurer

S V  'Saralysta' is a steel  Roberts  43ft, The hull was built by a professional  welder and after completion was treated with all the right paints, six coats inside and out. It then sat on the hard for the next four years. Then I bought the hull with some gear. In 2002, I launched it and then spent the next three years on the internal fit out while the boat was at its berth. Since completion of the fitout the boat has had a shakedown cruise to Lord Howe Island and some  limited, local coastal sailing . Every thing on this vessel is NEW. Sails ,rigging electronics, galley ,etc, and the 60hp Isuzu has less than 400hours. After a labour of love by the aged owner this vessel is sadly for sale. For your info I had 23 email inquiries from all over the world.  The majority however were from within Australia.  Reflecting, I would say that 7 of these were serious lookers, with 3 prepared to get on aircraft and come up and one who was going to drive.  It was the case that the boat was sold as they were each making their respective plans.  The irony of the situation is that a local purchased the boat - having learnt of its existence from your internet site. unreal.
