Hello, I read your enquiry on the bruce roberts QEENSLAND site and thought you may like to see what I did with my M42 also in glass.When purchased from a previous owner[s]it was as originally drawn and having had some past experiance with a full bodied sail boat with simular rudder post angle [and reading steel version comments]I was determined to make the post vertical. The attached photos show more or less what we did,the emerging interior stock remained in the original position and a steel fabriction was made as an extension piece to the keel and bolted and faired off together with the lower bearing. This boat is situated in Victoria AUS and has yet to go in the water[September launch] however I much prefer the new arrangment than the original design . Any way hope this is of interest.Contact me if you want any more info though I must point out that I am not a yacht designer but did it out of instinct and past woes. Bye for now, fair winds, Rob...
